The Institute hopes to fully launch in 2009, with the Center for Excellence. We already have the place. Now endowment and special gifts support to sustain innovation and to help support the Institute's inaugural and subsequent years are needed and are being sought.
Looking ahead gets to be a habit after a while. When CHRISTUS Health's new headquarters was planned an inviting conference space was included. Critical training will take place there. Critical thinking that will lead to innovation exploration and implementation will be an integral component of the CHRISTUS Health culture and environment.
The CHRISTUS Conference Center features easy access from all directions. It's centrally located between the coasts, literally a few minutes' ride from Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport, the world's 7th busiest.

Philanthropy is the Research and Development capital of innovation.
A special gift initiative has been announced by the CHRISTUS Health Foundation in support of the CHRISTUS Innovations Institute. The foundation's goal is to secure a minimum of $2 million to establish a permanent endowment and to establish the Innovations Institute Investment Fund. By developing philanthropic partnerships to secure start-up funds and creating a permanent source of funds, we are making a statement about the lasting impact of the CHRISTUS Innovations Institute.
As additional philanthropic investments allow the endowment to grow, the Institute's offerings will expand and its ability to have a positive, sustained impact on health care innovation will increase exponentially.
